Instruments: Drums, Guitar and Bass
Lynn began playing drums in the fifth grade, and bass and Guitar in the sixth grade. His school years included playing percussion for the high school musicals, accompanying Dale Knauer’s productions (5 years), various bands, show choir, marching band,and concert band. He attended Ohio University and was in the School of Music for a few quarters. While at O.U. he was in the marching band, symphonic band, and Ohio University Band. Also, while attending O.U. he played for a seven piece funk band, and a rock/blues band.
In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles, California. There, he played bass for a group called, “Bourbon County”. The lead guitarist for this group played for the Allman Brothers. He also played Bass for a Latin pop singer named “Azul”. This group had the opportunity to play at the L.A. Sports Arena. During this time, Lynn also taught private lessons for several students in Bass, Drums, and Banjo.
In the summer of 2009, Lynn toured with Larry Bagby, a talented musician/actor who played the role of Johnny Cash’s bass player in “Walk The Line”. This opened up the opportunity for him to also play with The Tennessee Three in one of their shows. Lynn is currently playing in a jazz quartet called “So What”. He is the drumline instructor for the Washington Courthouse Marching Band. He also gives private instruction at For A Song And A Story, in Drums, Guitar, and Bass.
